Q: Sometimes, this community can be like, pretty harsh, how do you deal with trolls?

A: I don’t know. Um, in the beginning it was super hard, then I realized they’re wasting their time and their life hating me, so they’re wasting their life on me! So I was like, “Haha, I’m winning either way!” (…) Who gives a crap, you know? And like, I know it’s super hard. Because like, they are super harsh. But I just… I guess, just be nice, you know? And just… try to do that whole “pay it forward,” and be kind, and maybe people will be kind back. (fan speaks up) Kill them with kindness, exactly! Like, I remember I was walking by some girl at Katsu that was like, “Oh my God, that’s Jessica Nigri, she’s such a mess, oh my God,” and I turned around, and I was like, “Hi!” And I just went up to them, and I hugged them, and they were like, “Oh my God, what are you doing?” And I was like, “I love you… Okay, bye,” and then, I like, I ran away, and they were like, “Okay, that was weird.” And then like, on CGL later, they were like, “I felt really bad ‘cause I was talking crap about her, and she just ran up to me.” Yeah, I also complimented them on their costumes. ‘cause I feel like cosplayers cosplay to feel something that they like inside. So, if you just go up and show them love, then they’re like, “Oh, my hole is filled.” (…) But yeah, don’t actually put a hole in them, be nice. Put love putty in there.
